"THE CRAZY MIND"

Although 'BRAIN' is considered the most complex organ in the human body, another fascinating mystery operating inside the human being is the working of the 'MIND'. Scientists are still struggling to fully establish the working of the Complex entity called MIND that operates fully hidden without any clue, though our ancient ancestors gave us some lessons, several thousand years ago, that meditation gives an individual great control over the CRAZY MIND.

Albert Einstein, the great physicist and Nobel prize winner not only had an extraordinary brain and his ability to think led to him being called a 'genius' because he worked out a lengthy complex mathematical equation for the scientific community, but also had an incredible mind to visualise the Outer Space beyond the boundaries of Earth where no human had ever ventured one hundred years ago.

Initially Einstein, during the end of the nineteenth century, had to go through a lot of struggle as a student in the school as well as college because he felt what the teachers taught in institutes were not as per his liking. Despite his brilliance, he could not even get a teaching job in the polytechnic school and had to settle down as a clerk in the Swiss patent office.

In his spare time Einstein's made the good use of his leisure by in-depth study and was able to visualize gravitational forces, different from what Sir Isaac Newton propounded 250 years ago, and also proposed the theory of bending of light in space, due to the strong gravitational forces of the heavenly bodies like the Sun, the most dominating power in the Solar system.

It took almost seven continuous years for astronomers to watch the Solar Eclipse, year after year, very carefully during a full eclipse, which would last only a few minutes, and then come to a conclusion that what Einstein said was entirely true! The dominant gravitational forces of the Sun did bend the light of a star placed hundreds of thousands of miles adjacent to the Sun. The powerful gravitational forces were not only curving the space around which make light bend around but these forces were also creating time variation though very marginally.

His Noble prize winning Photo-electric effect of Light which described light as quantum particles having different energy levels like packets which enable light to display different colors based on energy contained within it (measured in terms of frequency of light emitted) along with Einstein's extraordinary understanding of space-time relationship which enabled him to put forward his theory of general relativity, that was earlier thought to be of no practical significance but only a theory but it was realized after several decades that it is the foundation for modern science to predict the behaviour of objects in space and time, like the existence of black hole, creation of electric current due to relative change of magnetic fields, practical application of quantum particles in electronic hardware, perfect GPS navigation for our day to day car driving by accurate setting of differential timed clocks in the orbiting satellite and the receiver on Earth etc.

Therefore one could say that Einstein's MIND perhaps worked on a different plane, both intellectually as well as spiritually, because what he could imagine and visualize was beyond the scope of the normal sensory organs of a mortal human.

Some of the famous quotes of Einstein are as follows:-
1. He said, " I do not believe in personal God because it is something subtle and cannot be found by telescope" Einstein had unbounded admiration for the structure of the Universe.
2. He also said that " Science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind." Einstein's general theory of relativity was proved only via the observation of the Solar Eclipse when the Moon completely covers the Sun. Almost all of us are aware that during ancient times people have been watching and religiously worshipping the heavens for thousands of years, giving the Sun, Moon and other planets godly status. Watching Eclipse has been the age-old tradition of astrologers and astronomers and this has been also a part of ancient peoples' religious ritual.
3. He also made a statement that " Human beings are part of the whole called Universe by us, but limited in space and time. This statement of his assigns great significance to the fact that we are all part of this mysterious grand design.

So, JONATHAN (scientist- the character in the book mentioned below) was also equally amazed by the extraordinary visualizing ability of the wise old man living on the edge of the forest. He felt the need to carry out some research on the fascinating capabilities of the human mind because he realized that mind was much more powerful as well as a fascinating subject.
