THE MIND BOGGLING INTELLIGENCE OF HUMAN SPECIES

Obviously one would wonder, what is the meaning of ‘mind-boggling’ relevant to the intelligence of human species?

‘Sanskrit’ one of the oldest and structured languages on this planet has termed ‘mind’ as ‘manas’, some few thousands of years ago. Perhaps the word ‘man’ could have been derived from the term ‘manas’ because the way humans could think and process his or her thoughts, no other species on this planet has been able to equal the ability which makes humans an extraordinary as well as unique species on Earth.

Science and theology are always at loggerheads because the former is based on theories, experiments, observation and by deriving proof after evaluation and consensus, whereas the latter is always based on a belief system and faith which is invariably abstract and unseen.

But on the other hand, there are several human beings who have experienced the presence of some unknown or unseen power which in effect infers that there is something special and mysterious which cannot be measured and proven by any human intelligence.

Therefore, what is that experience which is beyond the perception of human intelligence and how could one account for this kind of encounter. Nevertheless, these types of experiences or feelings, however, get recorded in the brain’s neuron cells to be retained as a long-term memory.

Moreover, if such an individual relishes or encounters the blissful experience time and again the belief builds like a mountain of faith which eventually creates lifelong impact. The person also goes through a total transformation.

The double slit experiment and wave of formation of electrons (or other sub-atomic particles) when passed through a two-slit apparatus is a proven example, because overlapped wave-like formation which appears to the human eyes is not the case when seen through the high-speed camera which shows only ‘two straight lines’ on the plate which is placed on the other side of the apparatus.

We all know every species, including humans, can only perceive what they see, hear, smell, taste or feel by their five senses and therefore the so-called human intelligence is purely based on perception and registration of data in the neurons cells of the brain.

Neurons in the brain as we all know stores and computes all the information by inter-connection of several billion neurons through a series of ‘synapses connectivity’ by means of the sophisticated but undefined network and complex processing technique which is still a great mystery to neuroscience to decode the wonderful mechanism of the human brain.

Therefore, anything beyond the registering capacity of the human brain will always remain a mystery because there are some extraordinary powers that are unseen and is beyond human perception to understand such deep-rooted complexities.

Many of us know that the Indic philosophers in the past have been able to able to identify and define distant stars and planets, work out details about astronomy and astrology, visualized the existence of atoms as the smallest part of matter, gave calculation and information about sidereal lunar calendar year based on the movement of the moon around the Earth, built ocean-bound wind harnessed ships and all these were achieved a few thousand years ago.

The above feats were not based on the normal human sense perception of information registered in the brain or seen telescopes or space stations. Such knowledge were acquired by meditative principles or yogic methods that basically revolves around ‘manas or mind’.

Recent study done by neuroscientists have also come to a conclusion about the plasticity of the brain which could be re-wired by means of mind control and also the positive results of medical treatment of patients through placebo methodology where active medical ingredient is not present and such scientific experiments have thrown wide open the 'metaphysical aspects of human existence.'

Thus one should realize that science which is a creation of humankind is equally mysterious similar to spirituality or abstract as per the above-mentioned findings. For that matter, feelings and transcendental experiences of God which are not measurable is also considered a mystery.

After sustained efforts and detailed research, I have been able to connect science with spirituality and write a book in a story format to make it easy to understand for people from all walks life and understand this complex science in a simple way.

Hopefully, this book would give great satisfaction to curious individuals willing understand more about the human mind, intuition and emotional intelligence and in the process possibly discover the ‘self’ by reading this narrative.
