IS MONKEY OUR REAL ANCESTOR ?

The 100th Monkey (Ken Keyes Jr.)

The Japanese monkey, Macaca fuscata, was observed in the wild for a time span of over 30 years.

In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoes dropped in the sand. The monkeys liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirt unpleasant.

An 18-month-old female named Imo found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new way and they taught their mothers, too.

This cultural innovation was gradually picked up by various monkeys before the eyes of the scientists.

Between 1953 and 1958 all of the young monkeys learned to wash the sandy sweet potatoes to make them more palatable.

Only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the dirty sweet potatoes.

Then something startling took place. In the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshima monkeys were washing sweet potatoes – the exact number is not known.

Let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes.

Let us further suppose that later that morning the hundred monkeys learned to wash potatoes.

THEN IT HAPPENED!

By that evening almost everyone in the tribe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them.

The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!

But a much more surprising thing had happened.

However the most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes then jumped over the sea - Colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes!

Therefore the big question is, how did this happen?....@@@@@@@@@@@@

Genomic science is very complex but we all know genes play an important role in the formation of different life forms. As life has evolved over millions of years it is obvious that genes would have undergone several changes and also diversified into many groups in different species but some of the basic building blocks being common to all species, consequently some identical qualities are prevalent in all the species.

We know that practically all the living species either incubate their eggs or carry their offspring(s) in their womb before the baby or babies are delivered into this world. It is universally accepted that all mothers are possessive when it comes to their newborns. This behavior is therefore a part of our gene right from the beginning of the evolution and also observed and perhaps learned by all others species for millions and millions of years.

If a species has to defend their own offspring it has to essentially defend the ‘self’ from predators and this background became the ‘fight’ aspect of evolution for survival.
Similarly when it comes to male species besides defending itself from predators it has to fight other males in order to claim ownership rights over the female species during mating seasons.

We also see in larger species, strong and dominant species extend its ownership on territories in the surroundings where they live to ensure availability of food for them or their family to survive. Therefore this ownership game has been a part of the evolution for all the species including human species because it  is all a part of the DNA.

But there are some exceptions and one such example is the sea green turtle which lay their eggs beneath the sands on the sea shores and they turn back to the sea without paying any further attention to their eggs.

The baby turtles after they emerge from their eggs head straight towards the sea and these little ones try to defend and feed for themselves with no help from their mothers. Therefore in this case and perhaps few other cases it appears that the practice of safeguarding or nurturing of the young ones by their parents does not become a part of the evolution.

However most of the creatures including humans show a possessive behavior and this has become a part as well as one of the most dominating features among all living creatures. As this is a natural behavior of every living species, we humans always feel and think that we want to be in control or take charge of everything as much as we can that obviously includes the ownership of our own body and our personal belongings which include our children.

Now the question that arises is regarding the nature of the green turtle which leave their young to defend themselves and does not care or claim ownership of their off springs. Perhaps creation which has provided a strong shell for the turtle that covers and safeguards these creatures from the predators had given its genes an elemental behavior devoid of fear and therefore we should draw conclusion that turtles have perhaps developed a different behavior. This natural genetic freedom hood makes them have little or may be no fear, enabling them to display a behavior totally different from all other marine species.

It amazing to see that tortoise has been continuing with this same evolutionary gene since few 100 million years or perhaps more, without any hurry or worries because it received protection by natural selection- or is it a very special creation? Turtles have practically no fear which makes them walk slowly and they never run! This unperturbed creature lives for 100 years and some of them live till 250 years!
It is the nature of the turtle which make them think they are absolutely safe because of the unknown power of creation which has made it like that and therefore turtle’s brain has been pre-wired from birth lacking ownership due to which the behavior of the turtle is  very unique. Another remarkable thing about a turtle is that it lives safely at the bottom of the sea bed and eats only sea grass! Therefore this creature besides having no fear is also a tolerant as well as peace loving animal.

However it is essential to evaluate the behavior of turtle altogether in a different manner –As per the theory of gene mutation we cannot be sure whether the first turtle was born with the shell or without the shell but so far we have not found any creature like a turtle that does not have a shell. Let us assume for the time being that the original turtle without the shell is extinct now.
However what is of significance is that the bio-genetic mutation of the turtle would have been possible only if the turtle had a great desire to protect itself from predators and if the gene mutation did create a new armor for the turtle the important thing called the mind should come into play! Because desires originate from the mind!

Therefore to begin with it is the mind that would have come into operation leading to the pre-wiring in the brain leading to a stimulus that would have created a new cell inside the body of the turtle to begin the process of gene mutation to take place in the first turtle enabling the mother or the father species to introduce a new gene in the future generation of all the green turtles.

Mind is a part of the universal energy and therefore sustained efforts by the mind dwelling on a particular aspect of life gets fulfilled over a span of time. There is no wonder a group of monkeys living in a particular island continuously thinking about a particular aspect of life was able to transfer their thoughts over to another group of monkeys living in a faraway island across the sea!

Macacas from colder areas tend to weigh more than ones from warmer areas because the former developed thick fur for protection against cold. Macaca mostly eat foods such as fruit and nuts to store fat for the winter, when food is scarce. It is a real puzzle that the same category of monkeys living in the cold regions developed a thick fur to protect itself from the cold where as the group that lives in the warmer does not have thick hair growth! Therefore what we see is a gene mutation but what we don't see is the 'mind' that played a critical role to generate the correct gene for its survival though it could have happened after many many years but definitely it's an outcome of a combined mental effort of several monkeys both male and female ultimately leading to the new breed to withstand the new environment!

Individual mind is only a small part of the universal energy, however if there is a combined effort on the part of any species, the consciousness energy being much larger the IMPACT on the transformation is far more significant!
Let us for a moment think about scientists like Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein, they were all geniuses of their own time. As a matter of fact they all applied their mind dwelling on a subject which would have taken them several years of sustained thinking on the subject that enabled them to finally reveal to the world something extraordinary because human species are not only able to think and store memories in the brain but also can speak and write which unfortunately is not the case with any other living species!

Therefore what humans have done over thousands or perhaps millions of years are basically mental where it is not only the brain but more importantly the mind which has played a dominant role bringing about significant changes in history that we know of and  therefore this is not the case with any other living species on earth. None of the living species has 100 billion neurons what humans possess and more over other species cannot read and write which has given humans almost God like creative abilities. No wonder all the discoveries that have originated from humans are 'mind boggling'.

Therefore certain special characteristic genes are built inside the nature of different species which becomes a part and parcel of their DNA. But the biggest question is whether gene mutation which is considered to be a part of the process of evolution could have take place without the power of the mind?

For example the turtles were also very creative because they not only ventured into to the land but also buried their eggs inside the sand and after that it let go ownership of its own procreation. Thus the turtles neither bothered nor tried to defend their own eggs and this conscious thought process of the turtles gave them a peace of mind for undisturbed existence enabling them to live more than 100 years. May be turtle thought that it is safe guarding their young ones from the predators in the sea and therefore one could consider that there was a limitation to their intelligence  or perhaps other land animals were non-existent when green turtle started laying eggs on the sea shore!

However the the green turtle became more creative as it starting laying eggs on the sea shore only after nightfall so that the probability of birds or other species preying on their eggs was much less! But then only a few baby turtles make it to the sea and the rest perish as the timing of the young ones coming out of the eggs was not in mother turtle's control.

It appears that the power of mind is the mother of all intelligence and brain cells only stores information but the application of these information and dynamics of future generation of information is therefore not the sole ownership of the  brain.

Man made science cannot explain the fact how come this characteristic of non-possessive mind or this gene is missing in practically all other living creatures? As a result of this, it does raise the question how and why green turtle is so different in its mental makeup because scientists consider turtle to be a genetic or biological mutation of the fish or some other marine species and therefore a very similar question we need to ask how far is the scientific theory of humans originating from Apes true!

However we are aware and we need to accept that this non-possessive behavior is also a part of the evolution and has to be prevalent in some other species but may be on a selective basis giving rise to an entirely different mind-set. May be this behavior could have been in existence in some other species also that we do not know or perhaps they might be extinct today or else may be selectively available in certain other species even today that we may not be aware of.
However we are aware that this trait is also seen in several human species who are fearless and perform dare devil acts without any fear for defending their body or their own life!

Several animals also do perform stunning acrobats but all of them have similar gene and almost similar behavior and most of them do it for their own survival but for humans this is not the case and therefore the question arises why there is so much dissimilar mindset as far as humans are concerned!

Therefore we need to understand that besides our knowledge because of the acquired information and the activities which are learned by us due to memories etched inside our brain cells, there is a big role played by the ‘mind’ which operates in a space which is available inside as well as outside the body because ‘mind’ as we all know is something that we cannot see inside any living species!! Therefore 'mind' has undoubtedly an universal form of existence that we can never see and also is the case with thoughts which is an incredible energy force!

Therefore it would not be in-correct to state that gene mutation of all creatures which took place from a physical perspective  was entirely based on their desire to survive or to defend themselves depending upon the changing environment but however the linear or chronological developments of millions of creatures, from one species to another species, including humans as a derivative from a previous identical or similar looking creature raises lot of doubts and so will be Charles Darwin's theory which has a huge disconnect in the theory of evolution.
