THE LAWS of NATURE for ALL SPECIES
All of us have known about various laws of science like the laws of motion, laws of thermodynamics and other such laws postulated by our great scientists.
But there are also laws, as per the age old Indian scriptures, explained by some of the evolved and intelligent people who lived during the ancient times regarding every species that possess natural characters called Gunas which are classified as lethargy or inaction (Tamas), active (Rajas) and transforming (Satvic).
Ancient Indian scriptures has described that every species possess three qualities and out of the first two (Tamas and Rajas) one of them will be the most dominant invariably due to genetic nature from birth but the second will creep in (on and often) based on external events and association with others.
However the third one (Satvic) invariably remains dormant in most of the species unless there is a progressive approach towards 'self actualization' as well as a sustained effort to change the character through internal actions which leads to major transformations.
Usually there are only a very few who are likely to have the dominating quality of 'transformation' because this demands bringing forth positive thinking through 'conscious mind' that requires not only controlled action but also a 'state of stable' mind which requires a significant exposure as well as years of experiences that helps remove the negativity that's all stored in the neuron cells of every species ACQUIRED through out their life time right after birth.
The above is made possible through a process that is called 'meditation' when we apply this to human species.
"MEDITATION" IS A PROCESS THROUGH WHICH A PERSON CAN BRING HIMSELF OR HERSELF TO A STATE OF MIND OF "ABSOLUTE SILENCE" THAT WHICH IS FILLED WITH PEACE AND CALM KNOWN AS "BLISS". The above is made possible through a process that is called 'meditation' when we apply this to human species.
A STATE OF "BLISS" IS DIFFERENT FROM HAPPINESS OR JOY BECAUSE THE LATTER HAPPENS TO A SPECIES WHEN ONE GETS IT FROM EITHER MATERIAL OBJECT OR FROM EXTERNAL EVENTS INCLUDING SEX AS WELL AS EMOTIONAL SATISFACTION ARISING DUE TO AFFECTION SHOWN BY ANOTHER SPECIES.
As far as the 'first character'(TAMAS), we know that there are many species that are too lazy to think and therefore does not have the ability to figure things out. These species usually choose to mimic and invariably tend to follow others unconditionally.
The famous quote that we know is ‘that if the first species that takes a plunge into the river to cross over irrespective of the consequences, the rest of the herd have a tendency to follow it blindly or unconditionally.
However what we fail to see from the above quote is that there is one species that thinks out of the box regarding the 'possibility of a change' despite the uncertainty but what is important is the extra-ordinary ability of the species to break the inertia (TAMAS).

As per neuroscience inside the brains of all species there are some neurons that are called ‘mirror neurons’ whose job is to just register and copy the act.
We humans are all aware that right from childhood days and perhaps till death we tend to think or do certain things in an unique and identical manner because these are wired inside our brain or registered inside the mirror neurons of our brain making us follow a pattern or behavior learned by the brain for years and years or perhaps ages !! (refer my blog 'Is Monkey our Ancestors').

The second character (RAJAS) is the one which is 'action oriented'; but then action also gradually leads to aggression because of two primary reasons, one due to 'desire' and the second on account of the 'fear factor' which could finally turn into another hyper quality called 'greed' or to put it alternatively a dominating characteristic found in many species.
Thus a significant part of human activities take place either due to desire or due to fear in the mind because one sees it from his or her own point of view and gets into the act on account of the condition of benefits that accrue out of such actions which in the long run could possibly gets converted into 'greed'.
On the other hand it is 'failure' or acceptance of defeat that makes a person develop into a strong character and show tendency towards a stable mind which helps to remove unnecessary fears.
Therefore actions which constantly or invariably bring in benefits all the time will not impregnate 'fear factor' thereby making fear factor unknown for a considerably longer time line for such a person till he or she meets 'failure'.
Therefore the 'desire' to always seek benefits or the habit of winning all the time and often the element of joy seeing others defeated or even destroyed on every occasion can become detrimental leading to intolerance developing into a dirty habit called 'greed'.
Therefore one can visualize that actions are normally associated with 'fear' because one would like to make the best use of the opportunity and also would like to move ahead from one step to the next step but always keeping in mind the important factor called ‘benefit’ for the self but then at a later stage intolerance creeps in to make 'action' converted into 'greed' which is an over drive of the one sided beneficial factor given no consideration to the other side.

The 'third character' (SATVIC) is the most important aspect of humankind, supposed to be the most intelligent, that has led to several transformations. It is but obvious that actions lead to transformation but the difference lies in the attitude of the mind.
Therefore human society needs to understand that factors like lethargy or greed are undesirable during the developmental process of an youngster and therefore the need to inculcate the habits of actions not always looking forward to benefits right from the initial stages of upbringing of a child could be considered as the foremost need in our human society.
Although every action has an end result but this need not necessarily bring benefit for the self because the fact that inaction will lead to lethargy has to be considered or given primary importance; therefore an activity is just a part and parcel of life and need not always bring results which we observe as very normal in animal kingdom !!
Unfortunately neither the parents nor the schools are devoting adequate time or taking initiative towards developing such moral values or important principals of good living to youngsters. Only such efforts will lead us towards development of our civilization in to a good human society.

As we have seen in the first case, being lethargic, the species hardly applies intelligence because the mind is too lazy to think to activate the available brain neurons and therefore most of the time the neurons do not get activated, as the mind is most of the times sleepy.
Therefore such species just mimic others and follow the rules and act unconditionally always making use of ONLY mirror neurons. Therefore these are characters that are unable to awaken their 'conscious mind' to make the best use of their unused neurons.

In the second case the mind is awakened and the neurons are activated through positive thinking process and these are characters that are action oriented but then become aggressive due their mind getting conditioned or having the desire that benefit is of prime importance for all actions that are being performed.
However in such cases they are always highly stressed unable to overcome the fear or the greed because their actions all the time are linked to the sole objective of getting benefited all the time and every time.

The 'third character'(SATVIC) is where the conscious mind is in the superior mode of nature, in this case the mind is not only awakened but the neurons also become action oriented and at times aggressive but invariably actions are performed under a special condition which could be termed as ‘unconditional’.
Most of the actions performed by such people will be without keeping in mind the condition of benefit for the 'self'. Such people take actions considering the overall perspective and not given consideration for personal benefit.

All of us need to see that all 'transformation' those have taken place in the kingdom of all species for millions of years including human society is due to unconditional actions by many such species and this will continue to happen in the future also when more and more people in our society work or act unconditionally with a fully awakened mind where it is not ‘I’ that matters but where all the beings are considered equally important looking at the overall benefit of the society at large or perhaps for the whole kingdom of all the species that are created by some invisible force which none of us are fully aware of but we do occasionally think of 'GOD' ironically unable to wholeheartedly accept the superiority of that 'FORCE'.
We also need to erase the misconception that the supreme being should be a physical entity like us though we occasionally see a glimpse such powers in some of the humans forms whose soul is nothing but a part in the parcel called the 'Super Soul'.
Of course there is no denying the fact that we 'human species also possess the superior nature' but most of the time this great quality is lying dormant inside us and therefore the more we get enlightened the more sublime will become our nature !!
